Course Safety

When the course is open the decision whether to play is the sole responsibility of the player. This especially applies to extremes of temperature and weather conditions such as thunder, lightning and poor visibility, where we would advise against continuing play. Players must be alert to their actions and the actions of their playing partners that may cause danger to themselves, their partners and other players in the vicinity of their swing and hitting range

Course signage must be observed at all times. Ropes and stakes protecting areas of the course must not be removed or crossed over.Greenstaff have priority on the course. Please ensure they are in a safe position before playing your stroke.Under no circumstances must a stroke be played towards a machine, within hitting range, showing a flashing yellow warning light. The greenkeeper will switch the light off when he believes it is safe to play

Please be observant with regards to other possible dangers on the course, for example holes made by burrowing animals, ditches, slippery slopes, bridges, ponds and bunkers. A report book is available at Reception to enable players to report any situations that may be considered dangerous to themselves, other players and staff on the course. Please act responsibly at all times to ensure safety on the course
