  • Food & Beverage Assistant

    Golf food and beverage assistant required for an exciting opportunity to join our friendly hospitality team at Stratford Oaks Golf Club. We are a member’s club that is known for our friendly atmosphere and that all starts with our staff. You will be serving refreshments to include barista coffee, draft beer, wines and spirits along with light snacks.

    Salary: £8.50 to £10.00 per hour depending on age and experience

    Normal opening hours of the club are: 10.30am – 7pm, shifts can be flexible within these times with the occasional evening event.

    The duties as a Golf Food and Beverage Assistant are:

    • Provide a polite, friendly and professional service to all guests with a willing to assist attitude and to be customer focused at all times
    • Serving drinks and light snacks in a timely manner
    • Keeping a clean and tidy workstation, ensuring correct procedures are followed regarding food service and health and safety
    • To ensure all public areas are always customer ready
    • Ensure bar is correctly set up and stocked for service
    • Ensure closing procedures are followed and documentation complete

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Have a great work ethic, passion for customer service and capable of delivering high standards
    • Ideally have experience of a similar role but full training is provided
    • Have the ability to be proactive, work independently and as part of the team
    • Preferably have a food hygiene qualification but training is provided

    You need to be flexible and able to work some evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.

  • Club Chef/Cook

    Chef/cook wanted for an exciting opportunity to join our existing friendly hospitality team at Stratford Oaks Golf Club

    Salary: £20,000 to £25,000 per annum based on a flexible 40 hour week, depending on experience
    Typical shift: 10am – 6pm

    The Role:

    • As club chef/cook, you are responsible for preparing a varied selection of quality food to a high standard.
    • Keeping a clean and tidy work station ensuring correct procedures are followed regarding food preparation and health and safety.

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Have a great work ethic, passion for fresh food and capable of delivering high standards
    • Have a high standard of customer service
    • Have worked in a busy kitchen environment
    • Have the skills and knowledge to manage orders, rotate stock and request reordering as necessary
    • Have the ability to work independently and as part of the team
    • Have Food Hygiene level 2 as a minimum

    • 28 days annual holiday pro rata

    You need to be flexible with some evenings, weekends and public holidays as required. Working hours are by mutual agreement, but generally a working week would be 32/40hrs.

    The role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over a year.
